SECURITY AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT

SAFETY

The safety equipment will be provided as required by Italian code of boating, for navigation without any limits from the coastline (more than 50 nautical miles), in addition to the items already on board and described in this specification

FIRE FIGHTINHG

The fire fighting systems is made up of the following components:

• Fixed C0² system for the engine room. The activation of this system is via three levers positioned on the main deck. One for the activation of the alarm system, for the pneumatic closing of the smoke dampers, the cut-off of the valves on the daily tanks, and the shutdown of the fans/extractors. The other two are for the activation of gas exhaust discharge.
• Salt Water Fire Fighting System consisting of E/pump 400V (interchangeable with the bilge pump) with maximum capacity 2001/min, located in the engine room and connected to three hoses, two accessible from the main deck and the other from the lower deck. The control of the pump is on the wheelhouse touch screen, on the main switch panel of the engine room and next to the anchor windlasses. The pump can also be utilised for chain washing.
• Fire Alarm with smoke detection system will be installed in the engine room and the aft technical area, in all cabins and upper deck areas, connected to a visual and acoustic fire alarm with a dedicated monitor and control box in the wheelhouse. In addition in the engine room and in the galley high temperature sensor will be installed.
• Powder, foam and C0² fire portable extinguishers will be positioned as per the Classification Society's requirements.
• Sprinkler system for protection of the garage area.
• A dedicated loop for high concentration of gasoline vapours alarm in the garage is connected to the main smoke detection system box. This will automatically disconnect all electrical utilities in the garage area with acoustic and visual alarm on the dedicated monitor in the wheelhouse.
• Portable diesel motor pump with maximum capacity 2201/min for emergency, utilised also as emergency bilge pump.
• Piping in copper and galvanised steel.
