Baglietto motor yachts are indeed yachts with a ‘super’ prefix. Baglietto has been building yachts since 1854. It has a grand history that reflects all the significant periods of technical development of the yachting industry. At the beginning of its existence, the yard produced sailing and pleasure boats. At the end of the 19th century, it began to produce ferries, as well as cargo and fishing ships. After the invention of the internal combustion engine, the shipyard built its first motor cruiser and also began producing military vessels. In the 50’s Baglietto speed yachts appeared, in the 80’s hydrojet engines and aluminium hulls were used for their production.
Baglietto yachts have an impeccable reputation. During its existence, the shipyard has gained a leading position in the field of motor models. Its clients are many famous personalities, such as aircraft tycoon Thomas Flohr and fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. Today the company produces hydroplaning, displacement and semi-displacement boats up to 40 metres in length. Baglietto yachts are produced at the shipyard in Varratz, which has an area of 19 thousand square metres.
During the crisis, the company faced serious difficulties. The financial problems were solved by Gavio Group, which is actively reviving the popular brand. Today Baglietto includes another famous shipyard Cantieri di Pisa.
