GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Viking 65 Convertible is one of the most successful large sport-fishing yachts ever produced, with more than 80 hulls built before the model was replaced by the 68 Convertible in 2006. It features a large tournament-style cockpit, luxury four-stateroom layout, and high-performance diesel propulsion capable of 30+ knot cruising speeds.

ACTUAL CONDITION
This 2000 Viking 65 Convertible offers a rare opportunity to restore one of the most respected offshore sportfishing yachts ever built. With its legendary Viking hull, tournament-sized cockpit, and spacious four-stateroom layout, the 65 Convertible remains highly sought after by anglers and yacht enthusiasts alike.

The current owner purchased the vessel during COVID after it had previously sunk. The hull was repaired and restored to floating condition, then transported to Quincy, MA, where it remained in the water for approximately two years while initial restoration work was undertaken. During that time, the electrical circuit panels were rebuilt, cleaned, and powered up, ensuring a solid foundation for the next phase of the project.

The yacht is currently land-stored and is being offered as a project vessel. It was originally equipped with twin MTU diesel engines; both engines are believed to be seized, and one has been partially disassembled with associated components included. As such, the engines will require either a complete rebuild or full replacement.
