A living tree in the middle of the yacht — the new Sanlorenzo 74 STEEL

Sanlorenzo has unveiled renderings of Virtuosity, the second hull in its flagship 74Steel series. The yacht is being built on the same diesel-electric platform as the first hull, with exterior design and naval architecture by Zuccon International Project and interiors by Studio Paolo Ferrari.

At the core of the project is a rethinking of life on board through architecture, nature, and sensory experience. Its most striking feature is a living Ficus Nitida tree on the main deck. Far more than a dramatic design statement, it became the starting point around which the yacht was conceived. Occupying around 16 square metres and extending through two deck levels, the tree required careful planning from the outset, from its botanical needs and dimensions to two side light wells at floor level, designed to bring natural light below and allow it to thrive.

Elsewhere on board, Virtuosity will feature a large swimming pool, two owner’s master areas, a winter garden veranda, an Ocean Resort with a beach club of more than 230 square metres, and a wellness area with a hammam, sauna, and cryotherapy.

In essence, Virtuosity is more than a new 74-metre superyacht. It is a project in which the architecture is quite literally built around living nature.
