Mondomarine Yachts

Shipyard Mondomarine (Mondo Marine SpA) was opened in 1978 in the coastal town of Savona, ideal for shipbuilding, as a nautical department of the famous Italian company Mondo, which is a leading manufacturer of coatings and artificial cinder tracks for stadiums.

In 2005 a 40 - meter yacht Fabry's was built, the second aluminum yacht in history (the first was the yacht Blue Belle in 2003). In April 2006, a 42 - meter yacht Kimberly II was launched made of steel and aluminum, design carried out by Studio Ruggiero, and the customer was a Greek wine businessman Spyros Metaxa. In 2006 a 50 - meter aluminum mega- yacht and a 45- meter yacht in steel and aluminum Princess Iolanthe were built.

Besides mega- yacht Mondomarine Company has got such ready series as Atlantic sized 31-36 meters, the design of which was carried out by architect Cor. D. Rover & Sydac. Mondomarine uses a unique patented technology Mouldless Method, developed for composite materials, thanks to which it is possible to build a yacht without a pile (when the hull is in the water).

After launching a 50 meter model Tribu (commissioned for Luciano Benetton), this super yacht received a Green Star for high environmental performance. In 2008 three yachts were built on the shipyard Mondomarine: a 41- meter aluminum hull (improved model Panther), a 41 -meter tri-deck yacht Cor D. Rover designed in cooperation with Luca Dini , and a 38 - meter yacht with plastic hull, produced jointly with SYDAC.
